چکیده

A power transformer is an essential device for stable and reliable transfer to customers. Therefore, accurate modeling of transformers required simulation-based analysis with the model. The paper proposes efficient straightforward parameter estimation based on sweep frequency response (SFRA) test data. method first develops a model consisting repetitive RLC sections mutual inductances then aligns simulated SFRA curve measured one by adjusting parameters. Note that this adjustment individual impacts curve. After aligning two curves, final can be obtained. In paper, actual single-phase, three-winding parameters were estimated field data, showing curves from are consistent

Comparison of Impulse Wave and Sweep Frequency Response Analysis Methods for Diagnosis of Transformer Winding Faults

Monitoring of winding faults is the most important item used to determine the maintenance status of a transformer. Commonly used methods for winding-fault diagnosis require the transformer to exit operation before testing and an external exciting signal, whether the transformer is malfunctioning or not. However, if an overvoltage signal can be regarded as a broadband excitation source for fault...

High-Frequency Modeling and Simulation of a Single-Phase Three-Winding Transformer Including Taps in Regulating Winding

—Transformer terminal equivalents obtained via admittance measurements are suitable for simulating high-frequency transient interaction between the transformer and the network. This paper augments the terminal equivalent approach with a measurement-based voltage transfer function model which permits calculation of voltages at internal points in the regulating winding. The approach is demonstrat...

A High Frequency Transformer Winding Model for FRA Applications

Frequency response analysis (FRA) is a method which is used to detect mechanical faults in transformers. The FRA response of a transformer is determined by its geometry and material properties, and it can be considered as the transformer’s fingerprint. If there are any mechanical changes in the transformer, for example if the windings are moved or distorted, its fingerprint will also be changed...

Transformer Fault Detection Using Frequency Response Analysis

Power transformers prove to be a vital element or tool in electrical power supply and transmission system. They are capital intensive units and need to be monitored for faults. Faults in transformers leading to their failure are repugnant. Thus, there is a need to detect such faults at an initial level. This paper aims to detect, diagnose the nature and cause of mechanical faults, their identit...
